Anne Rollo Golf – Putter face alignment triangle

Most of the short putts we miss come down to one thing: poor alignment. When you're standing to the side of the ball your eyes aren't level, so it's genuinely hard to tell whether your putter face is pointing in the right direction. You get all set up, glance at the hole, second-guess yourself, nudge the face one way or the other, and invariably you miss the putt. So I developed my new Anne Rollo Golf putting triangle to take that guesswork out of it.

How it works

Take your setup and aim at the hole. Pop the triangle down in front of your putter, come around behind it and have a little look to see whether it's straight or not. It's a very simple little gadget, fantastic for checking your alignment with your putter face, and you're going to miss a lot less short putts.

Where to use it

• At home on the carpet
• On the putting green before you go and play
• In front of an iron or a wood, if you want to check where you're aiming

It's even good for long putts, but it's most effective for the short putts, because most short putts are missed because of poor putter face alignment. This is going to fix that for you.
