Align Up Ball Marker

Have you seen these lining-up ball markers? They're a legal little tool that makes it so much easier to line up your putts — and honestly, it feels a bit like cheating.

Lining up the putt is never easy. How often do you crouch behind the ball, work out where to aim, set the line on the ball, then stand over it and think "hmm, that doesn't look quite right"? You stop trusting the line, putt where you think it should go, and miss. This marker helps you trust the line.

How it works

• Mark your ball with it like a normal marker, then lift the ball away.
• Come around behind, read your break (or a straight putt), and line the marker up to where you want the ball to go.
• When it's your turn, pop the ball back down and match the line on the ball to your marker.
• Now the line on the ball is pointing where you've already decided to aim — so you can stand over it with your putter and trust it.

It works because you do your aiming from behind the ball, where your eyes are level and you're looking at the break — far better than guessing from over the top of the ball.
