Trouble with your 3 wood on the fairway ?
Most women and plenty of men too (particularly if you struggle with your 3 wood) would benefit from sticking to a 5 wood off the grass as the extra loft lifts the ball into the air and carries the ball further and you will end up hitting the ball pretty much as far and certainly more consistently.
Save your 3 wood for shots off the tee when you want or keep it straight or on a long par three or if the lie is perfectly flat and the ball is sittong up nicley and you have a long way to go to the green.
You might even consider going for a 4 wood which is a great all round club for all your fairway shots,
A very modern club combination is a driver, 4 wood and 3 hybrid and then 4 iron down
Thats what David Duval PGA Tour Player has in his set ….as well as Geoff Ogilvy and my own set too for that matter so I can really recommend this combination of clubs for your bag.
Good Golfing
