If you ever wondered how powerful our minds are here is a great demonstration.
30 college basketballers were asked to be involved in an experiment.
10 were asked to physically practise their skills for one month.
10 were asked to only mentally practise their skills and not practise physically at all
10 were asked to do nothing.
The results.
The 10 that did nothing did not improve.
The 10 that practised their shots improved by 24%
The 10 that only practised mentally also improved 24%.
Its quite amazing isnt it????
This does not mean, don’t practise, but imagine if you combined physical AND mental practise how quickly you could improve.
So if you can’t get to the range sit down and think about making really good swings, hitting really great golf shots and visualise the ball going into the hole.
