Does your grip look like this?
When you grip the club and look straight down at your hands you should be able to see the first two knuckles on your left hand as you look down at your grip without moving your head
I have labelled the knuckles 1 and 2 in the picture
The correct left hand position allows your left wrist to break correctly on the backswing and helps both your direction and connection.
See how the thumb of the left forefinger tucks into the lifeline of the right hand.
Check for yourself, but remember just look straight down, don’t tilt your head to the left to see.
